The Halušky Festival is back — and with it comes the 3rd Annual Cooking Competition of Traditional Slovak Dumplings!

Join us at St. Cyril’s Slovak Centre (1520 Chandler Rd., Windsor) on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM for a day filled with delicious food, music, dance, and friendly competition. Admission is FREE!

Highlights of the Day:

• 1:00 PM – Doors Open
• 1:30 PM – Opening Ceremony
• 2:00 PM – Halušky Cooking Competition | Group 1
• 3:00 PM – Slovak Rozmarín & Domovina Dancers
• 3:30 PM – Halušky Cooking Competition | Group 2
• 4:30 PM – Gerdan Macedonian Dancers
• 5:00 PM – Filipino Salin Lahi Dancers
• 5:30 PM – Halušky Cooking Competition | Results
• 6:00 PM – Folk Music & Community Dancing

Enjoy traditional Slovak favorites: Halušky, Sausage, Guláš, and handmade pastries. Refreshments include Slovak and local brews from Sandwich Brewing Co. and Hyena Brew Company

Cooking Competition:
Do you have what it takes to prepare 2kg of authentic halušky in under 50 minutes? Teams of 4 will compete for the Judge’s Choice and People’s Choice awards. Don’t miss this chance to show your skills and keep our traditions alive
